Scholastic Books: Class Code - GLQ6N

Order Due Date -

Support Your Child’s Reading Success!

Dear Families,

Did you know? Kids who read for just 20 minutes a day are more successful in school and life. Ordering from Scholastic Book Clubs is an easy way to find the best books that are just right for your child’s grade and interests.

Here’s how:

Choose books with your child from the paper flyers or online at: scholastic.com/bookclubs

To order online, connect to our class using our Class Code (or look me up by our school name): GLQ6N

As soon as your order is delivered to our classroom, I will send it home with your child.

Thank you for your support and happy reading!!

Students will not be given homework packets.  They will, however, have nightly homework.  Children are required to read each night for 20 minutes and practice basic multiplication facts 2 -12 for 15 minutes.  Mastery of basic facts is essential to student's long-term success in Math as much of what we will do this year requires knowledge of these facts.  Thank you for your support in ensuring that your child is reading and practicing facts at home!

My email address is staplesmi@pwcs.edu  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  If you would like to meet, please request a meeting via email including most convenient dates and times.  I am usually available Monday - Thursday after school until 5:00p.m.

Daily Homework
:
Practice Multiplication Facts 2-12 AND Read for 20 minutes
Practice for both may be done on-line using XtraMath, Dreambox, or other on-line links, with flashcards, workbooks, worksheets, etc.
Please remember to review your child's daily agenda and initial each day.
